Welcome to My Betta Blog

This is my journey of raising and breeding Betta Splendens (Siamese Fighters). Betta are traditionally found in SE Asian countries like Thailand & Malaysia. There are many different types of Betta available. They are also available in many colors, some are bold/full colored and some are mixed. It is a well known fact that some countries around the world engage in the sport of Betta Fighting, where two male Betta's a put in the same tank to fight it out. Surviving Betta is the winner, please note that i do not raise/breed Betta's for this purpose.

Platinum White Halfmoon Male - Fin/Tail Rot UPDATE

Rehabilitation started on the 28/12/10, the Fin Rot since to have disappeared and now the tail/fins are starting to grow new tissue.  Pretty much for the last two weeks he has been soaking in Aquarium Salt (Salt Bath) and Indian Almond leave.  The salt helps to kill any fungus on the body and water while the Indian Almond Leaves help heal the tail/fin.  In case you are wondering the yellowish color is caused by the Indian Almond Leaves in the water.
