Welcome to My Betta Blog

This is my journey of raising and breeding Betta Splendens (Siamese Fighters). Betta are traditionally found in SE Asian countries like Thailand & Malaysia. There are many different types of Betta available. They are also available in many colors, some are bold/full colored and some are mixed. It is a well known fact that some countries around the world engage in the sport of Betta Fighting, where two male Betta's a put in the same tank to fight it out. Surviving Betta is the winner, please note that i do not raise/breed Betta's for this purpose.

Dropsy - Raised Scales........

Started to notice yesterday that my Giant Orange HMPK has lost his appetite.  When i got home tonight i noticed that he has come down with raised scales.  Raised Scales are a disease which is very hard to cure and most likely he will not make it.  Raised Scales is a disease that is caused by fluid under their skin that builds up and pushes their scales up like spikes.  Pretty much his whole body scales are raised like spikes.  I have put him in some antibiotics to see whether he will come around.
